Brand strategy & identity

Branding is where Awove began, and it remains the core of our work.

We work closely with founders, leadership teams and organisations to understand the business beneath the brief: where it came from, where it wants to go, who it needs to matter to and what makes it meaningfully different.

Clarity first. Identity second. Everything stronger because of it.

How we approach it

Our process combines research, strategy, psychology, facilitated discovery and creative thinking before moving into visual identity.

Because a brand shouldn’t begin with choosing colours. It should begin with understanding what the business actually needs to become.

Brand strategy

We help define the thinking behind the brand: positioning, audiences, differentiation, personality, values, architecture, messaging and the wider strategic direction that gives creative work something meaningful to build upon.

Our discovery sessions are deliberately conversational and challenging. We ask questions, test assumptions and look for the things that aren’t necessarily written in the brief.

Sometimes we confirm what a business already suspected. Sometimes we uncover an entirely different problem.

Brand identity design

Once the strategy is clear, we turn it into a distinctive visual identity.

That can include naming, logo and identity systems, typography, colour, art direction, brand assets, visual language, guidelines and the applications needed to make the identity work consistently in the real world.

The goal isn’t simply to make a business look better. It’s to make it recognisable, relevant and unmistakably itself.
