The idea before the execution.
A launch, a campaign, a pitch or a piece of work that isn’t quite there. We help work out what it needs to say, find the idea and give the people making it a clear direction.
Bring us in for a focused review, a new concept or creative direction through the project. We can make the agreed work or work alongside your team. You don’t need to commission a rebrand to get us involved.
Creative thinking from Awove, a multi-award-winning brand and web agency.
No strings attached.

Another opinion is easy. A useful direction takes more.
You may already have a good team and plenty of options. What’s missing is a clear view of what the work needs to do, which idea deserves to move forward and what needs to change.
We bring an outside perspective, but not an opinion for its own sake. We look at the business, the audience and the brief, then explain our recommendations. The aim is a direction people can understand and use.
Creative consulting.
Bring the brief, the work or the question. We help identify what is working, what is getting in the way and what to do next.
Concept development.
The idea, message and visual direction everything else can build around. Something with enough substance to work beyond the first presentation slide.
Creative direction.
Keeping the idea, message and finished work connected, whether our team is making it or yours is bringing it to life.
“Make it pop” is feedback. It isn’t a direction.
We get specific about what the work needs to say, how it should feel and why.
From “not quite” to a direction worth making.
For a full creative brief, this is how we move from the question to the work. A focused review can stop at a clear, useful recommendation.
- 01
Understand the job.
We look at the business, audience, existing work and what needs to happen. Sometimes the brief is clear. Sometimes the first useful thing we do is work out what the brief should actually be.
- 02
Find the central idea.
We explore what is worth saying and how to make it relevant. Then we recommend a direction with a reason behind it, rather than hand over a pile of options and ask you to guess.
- 03
Make the direction visible.
We develop the agreed message and visual approach into something you can respond to. That might include concepts, references, layouts or key executions, depending on what the project needs.
- 04
Give the team something to work from.
We translate the direction into a usable brief and the agreed creative guidance. What matters, what can change and how the idea should carry across the different pieces.
- 05
Keep the idea intact.
Where our involvement continues through production, we review the agreed work and help resolve creative decisions as it develops. The aim is a finished result that still carries the idea everyone agreed to.
A direction people can actually work from.
The useful part isn’t simply having an interesting conversation. It’s knowing what to make, why it makes sense and how to take it forward. We agree the outputs around the question you need answered and the people who will use them.
Clear thinking. Something to act on.
- A sharper brief & recommendations
- A clear account of the job, the audience and the decisions that need attention, with practical recommendations for the next stage.
- The central creative idea
- A concept for the brand communication, campaign, launch or presentation, with the reasoning that gives it substance.
- Message & narrative direction
- The main message, supporting points and story structure that help the work say something worth hearing.
- Visual & art direction
- References, imagery, typography and layout direction that give the idea a recognisable expression.
- Key concepts & example executions
- The agreed examples needed to show how the idea works in practice, without assuming every final asset is part of a concept-development brief.
- Creative guidance through delivery
- Agreed reviews and direction for Awove, your internal team or specialist partners as the work is produced.
You might need a review and recommendations. You might need a developed concept, key creative work and someone to keep the project on course. Those are different engagements. We’ll scope the one that is useful to you.
Your proposal confirms the outputs, review stages, production responsibilities, timing and fee. Additional assets and specialist production are agreed separately.
No strings attached.
Bring us in where you need us.
You don’t have to replace your team or restart the project. We can work with what is already there and agree where our involvement will make a difference.
A fresh pair of eyes.
A focused review or working session for a brief, concept or piece of work that needs a clearer next step.
An idea to build around.
A defined creative project to develop the concept, message and visual direction, with the agreed examples to make it tangible.
Direction as the work develops.
Separately scoped creative involvement through production, with clear responsibilities and review points.
One-off or ongoing, the arrangement should fit the work. You do not need to start with a retainer.
Good thinking. Out in the world.
Selected brand, messaging and visual work by Awove. Each project is labelled with what we delivered.
A few things worth asking.
Can we hire you without commissioning a new brand or website?
Yes. You may already have an identity and a capable team, but need help with a particular idea, presentation, launch or creative decision. This service can stand on its own.
Can you work with our in-house team or another agency?
Yes. We can shape the brief, develop the concept and provide creative direction while your team or specialist partners handle the agreed execution. We establish responsibilities and review points at the start.
Will you make the work, or only advise?
Either can be appropriate. Awove can produce the agreed design and digital work, or provide the concept and direction for another team to execute. The proposal makes clear what we are creating, what we are reviewing and what remains with other people.
Can you help with something we’ve already started?
Yes. Bring the work and explain where it is getting stuck. We look at what is worth keeping and what needs attention. Starting again is not automatically the most useful answer.
How is this different from brand or marketing strategy?
Brand strategy concerns the business’s positioning and identity. Marketing strategy considers the audience, proposition and approach to reaching people. Creative consulting and direction shape the idea and expression of the work itself. They can overlap; we scope what is needed rather than make you buy three services to resolve one brief.
What will we actually receive?
That depends on the engagement. A review might lead to recommendations and a clearer brief. A concept project might include the idea, message, visual direction and example executions. We agree those outputs before starting.
Do you manage advertising accounts, social media or SEO?
No. We develop the ideas, messaging, direction and agreed creative assets. Media buying, routine posting, channel management and ongoing SEO are separate specialist services. We can work alongside the people responsible for them.
Can this be a one-off piece of work?
Yes. A focused review, workshop or defined concept project does not require an ongoing retainer. Further involvement can be agreed when it is useful.
How much does it cost, and how long does it take?
That depends on the question, the outputs and how involved you need us to be. We agree the scope, fee and schedule before starting. A review and a full concept-to-production engagement are not priced or planned as the same job.
What happens in the free 15-minute consultation?
Tell us what you are working on and where you need help. We’ll ask a few questions and see whether we are the right people to get involved. It is a first conversation, not a full strategy session or finished creative work on the call. No strings attached.
